Toasted and brown sugar notes are the signature aromas of this Vertuo coffee capsule. It's a long, intense espresso with a distinctly lingering aftertaste and a thick crema. This Nespresso Intenso blend is roasted separately. The Guatemalan coffee receives a long roast, developing the bold, bitter notes of the Robusta coffee beans. The Arabicas are roasted shorter and darker to reduce their acidity and enhance the brown sugar aroma. The separate roasting and specific grind give Intenso a lingering aftertaste. We chose the unique washed Robusta from Guatemala for its distinctive cereal notes, clean, smooth flavor, and the unmistakable intensity you get from Robusta coffee beans. This Vertuo coffee capsule also contains Arabicas from Mexico and other Central and South American countries. The more subtle aromas of the Arabicas blend smoothly with the Guatemalan coffee.
